Welcome!

Welcome to the Columbus Argentine Tango Society (CATS) at the Ohio State University We are an enthusiastic group consisting of students, faculty, and staff of OSU, as well as residents of Columbus and nearby areas. We are dedicated to promoting Argentine tango as a social dance, and welcome anybody who wants to dance or learn. If you have questions or comments, please email us at info@tangocats.com.

  • Classes to Resume January 12th

    Tuesday Lessons:

    Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Lesson: 7-8pm, Pomerene Hall, room 208 (with practica to follow directly after)
    Beginner Lesson: 8-9pm, Pomerene Hall, room 208
    Practica (all levels) : 9-10pm, Pomerene Hall, Room 208

    and

    Friday Practica from 8:30-10pm (or until people stop dancing) in Pomerene Hall Room 213

    Cost (on Tuesday): Drop-in class: $3 student / $5 non-student per class or $5 student / $15 non-students for series (4 classes)
    OR $18 student / $25 non-student for entire quarter

    The classes are followed by a free supervised practica!
    No partner necessary! No experience necessary for beginner classes! Join any time!

  • Pick up a copy of the CATS Practice CD at the next class! This CD contains a selection of popular tangos, valses, and milongas, and is free for all CATS students. The track list is here.
