Welcome!

Welcome to the Columbus Argentine Tango Society (CATS) at the Ohio State University We are an enthusiastic group consisting of students, faculty, and staff of OSU, as well as residents of Columbus and nearby areas. We are dedicated to promoting Argentine tango as a social dance, and welcome anybody who wants to dance or learn. If you have questions or comments, please email us at info@tangocats.com.

    Mark your calendars! Join us for an exciting Weekend of Argentine Tango with master teacher and guest DJ Jaimes Friedgen (Seattle) and guest DJs Avik Basu (Ann Arbor) and Mike Tennant (St. Louis), June 6-9, 2008. There will be workshops, milongas, and general fun Friday through Monday, including a FREE beginner lesson and milonga Friday, June 6!       7:00pm: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate w/ Linda (no Adv Beg/Int class May 8)
      8:00pm: Beginner w/ Jorge & Atsuko
      9:00pm: FREE Supervised Practica
    Classes are $10 (students)/ $15 (non-students) for the full series, or $3 (students)/ $5 (non-students) drop-in. Classes and practica are in Pomerene Hall, Room 213. Pomerene Hall is located at 1760 Neil Ave., just north of 12th Ave. [map] on the Ohio State University campus. There is metered street parking (free in evenings) as well as parking in the Neil Avenue Garage at 1801 Neil Ave. Directions to the garage: go north on Neil Avenue (past Pomerene), turn left when construction blocks Neil Ave.

  • Now TWO Monthly Milongas! The biggest milongas in central Ohio!
    Meet new people, reconnect with old friends, enjoy great tango music, and put on your dancing shoes! Enjoy refreshments, surprise guests, dancers from all over...all for FREE!

    Second Fridays of the month: Monthly milonga with TangoBello and TangoCATS, Pomerene 213, 8:30pm-midnight.

    Fourth Fridays of the month: Milonga Fuego, 9pm, at La Fogata Grill, 790 North High Street, between East Hubbard and Hull Alley [map]. Great Mexican food, margaritas, and desserts will be available for purchase, and the dancing is FREE! Free parking is located in the lot behind La Fogata. Check out the flyer below!
